Want to make sure main doesn't get banned :)

I have a main account that is Legendary Eagle, but I want to make another account where I cheat for fun, kind of like a smurf, but I want to see what kind of rank I can achieve on it with cheating. I will of course use a different email on it and make sure it is isolated from my main account, incase of a VAC ban, or when VAC develops technology to detect external cheats. To get to the point, I don't want to get vac banned on my main account, but I want to cheat on my second account. What kind of safety precautions should I take to make sure that I don't get banned on my main account? If I close the cheat and never run it on my main account, I should stay 100% safe, right? Or will it detect it if it's on my computer? Should i use a USB drive? I have cheated before, so I know how to hide it and so on, that is not what I'm looking for, just to say it in advance  !
